Ellis hit back to fence 291 Jason Giddings while a clashing Thiele and Canham ran into the stricken 414 setting Canham up for a big shot from Giddings while Thiele took some stiff from Harley and 220 Andy Thacker, the former motoring to the win with 214 Marcus Ballard and 715 Mick Prince.

One less for the second heat which started with 350 Dave Shipp burying 753 Billy Cunningham as 401 Steve Hemmings zeroed in on 237 Jamie Mitchell's Sierra and 439 Daniel Sutton did the same to TSR young gun 665 Stu Scarlett while 563 Mark Sewell (Volvo est) blasting the similarly powered 19 Joe Mullarkey as a luckless Mitchell was T-boned by 312 Tom Reynolds (Volvo est). 401 Psycho belted 350 Kipper on the nose before 439 Daniel Sutton was run in at speed by the smart Volvo estate of 67 Mark Whittaker with the Spedeworth pilot also taking a T-bone from a recovered Mullarkey as Scarlett was fenced by 564 Mark Cooper. The leading 215 Michael Croxon was then squeezed into the inner wall by Psycho ending his run with 67 Sparky then feuding with Sewell at the end of the home straight leaving the latter open to a big hit from psycho which brought the reds out for a shaken Sewell. 273 Kevin McClagish took the win from 007 Dangerous Dill and 207 John Randall.

The Supreme was next with 428 Grumpy and Lester picking up smart car awards for their efforts the Incarace draw giving 287 Paul Totham pole with 158 Shane Davies alongside. The race started with spins for 924 Matt Millen and 151 Tucker while 75 Jim O'Brien was turfed out by 22 Dave Vincent. 287 Gizmo set the pace from Davies and 348 Sonny Sherwood as a recovered Millen hooked out a uckless Tucker and 41 Willie Skoyles moved up to third. Pre race favourite 617 Jack Overy retired and Gizmo spun aside 37 Dave Lewis who copped a T-bone from 431 Shaun Abra which all allowed Davies to grab the lead. Grumpy was removed by 163 Jeremey Nicholls (Cortina) and Millen did the same to 666 Mark Holdsworth (Capri), the Incarace man getting T-boned by 348 Mushy which cost him time as Skoyles moved into second and Gizmo faded away. With Skoyles challenging Davies for the lead 364 Sean Winchester became a valuable player looking out for RDC and spinning the former World Champ while second placed Mushy also dropped out promoting 119 Davey Cox, Vincent and Lester. Millen was spun by 331 Jason Jackson as Winchester continued to hunt visitors and put in 202 Mike Kilford while Lewis also tasted the wall thanks to Nicholls. Lester spun 75 the Menace which held him up and allowed 331 Boxer to take third while a thrilling last bend saw 119 Cruncher dive at Davies and make contact but the Condom held on for another title, Vincent third and Boxer fourth. Skoyles ended the race on a high following Grumpy in hard and then a lap later he crashed into the stricken Minster after tangling with 200 Steve Farrell.

The action moved up a gear in the first allcomers race which attracted 30 starters. A spinning Tucker was hit head-on by Giddings as Mushy assaulted 31 Andy Nicholls and 202 Kilf and 10 Paul Whiteman met in similar fashion. 262 Peter Robertson (Mk3 Granad) was hammered by Prince and then Sparky stuffed Tucker into 262 with 345 Craig Hewitt blasting Sparky as Prince went on an offensive flurry burying both 85 James Ellis and Mullarkey. 214 Mr Ballard then piled Gant into Whiteman wrecking the PRI man as Thiele T-boned Blowers setting him up for a rated blitz from 220 Mr T who got his hat nailed on in turn by 533 Justin Garman with a fierce hit. A little further back and Dill piled Kilf into the long vacated Whiteman Granada with Gizmo piling into 007 who was also hammered by Ellis as Sparky feuded with 345 Chewy, Dill also joining in against the PRI man until he was hit by Mr Ballard who went on to enjoy a head-on with Sparky. Gizmo then turned it on picking up Gant and thundering him into Chewy and a lap later he repeated the move on 111 Waz Barber with Dill feeling the brunt as Boxer fired up the back of Giddings. 207 Eyebrow won from Barber and Boxer for a PRI 1-2-3.

220 Mr T delivered hit of the season so far in the first Allcomers with this big blitz to 265 Troy Thiele but he was then trashed superbly by 533 Garmo

28 cars emerged for the second Allcomers with Millen putting Scarrow in early doors, the latter taking a roof bender from Grumpy as Silent Hero 161 Wayne Byrne continued the PRI war by delivering a head-on to Eyebrow as a large pile-up formed on the road way bend in which 312 Mr Turbo buried Gant. On the back straight Eyebrow repeated the favour to Byrne as Grumpy continued to crash running in Channon and the Menace fenced 564 Coatie while Cruncher piled Mr Turbo hard into the pit bend wall only to take a shot from Millen with the Mobster continuing for a shot on Scarrow. Gizmo spun Barber to claim the lead and duly recorded the win from Abra and Vincent with Kilf delivering the last hit of the race with a burial on Grumpy.

20 returned for the Accumulator which started badly as 273 Mad Mouse turned round and caught Mitchell in the door but fortunately no harm was done but Mouse was hit head-on by running mate 753 Young Gun. Scarrow sorted Eyebrow and was buried by Grumpy in turn as Gizmo followed Psycho in and Winchester gave Scarrow a stiff hit. Mouse battled back to give Psycho a package as Ellis felt the sharp end of Sutton and Psycho was bent further thanks to a T-bone from Grumpy. 533 Garmo then blasted Young Gun but took one in turn from Winchester who was belted by Vincent who was met on the nose by Mouse as Price zeroed in for a good shot on Coatie only to get blitzed by Mr Turbo. Byrne met Boxer on the nose as Gizmo dealt one out to Eyebrow and the Silent Hero was T-boned by the Menace allowing Boxer to land a revenge hit. Scarrow and Lewis shared a head-on with Winchester arriving o blast the latter as Young Gun and Vincent went head to head. Boxer blasted the Menace as Vincent repaid Young Gun with a head-on and a rear ender while Lewis greeted Sutton on the nose but took shots from Gizmo and Mr Turbo for his trouble. Gizmo then took shots from Boxer and a recovered Lewis as Mr Turbo took the flag and celebrated by giving Mitchell a monster head-on which left Mitchell shaken bringing the race to an end before the DD could get into swing.

A slightly disappointing field of 19 Saloon Stockcars gathered for their third round of the track championship but with several regulars at St Day for the following afternoon's English Championship it was not unexpected.

603 Wayne Peckham spun as heat one kicked off and was collected on the nose by 175 Des Burton while 417 Fred Powell hit the wall. 377 Mick Oslar set the pace while 311 Steve Newman removed 2 Paul Tuppen and 84 Lizzy Crowden also spun out. 562 Trevor Gray moved into second behind Oslar while 150 Andy Parrin stuffed 368 Steve Santry but lost much time himself. Third placed 428 Lee Sampson spin as did 171 Kevin Dunne Jnr and he was collected by Santry as Newman took the lead, Oslar loosing out to Tuppen seconds later. 175 Des Burton passed Gray for second but 562 swiftly spun him to regain the spot. Newman raced to the win with a thrilling finish seeing 807 Chris Murfin dive up the inside of 511 Craig Barnett for second, so much so, he climbed the home straight Armco but it was for nothing as he was docked for jumping the start giving Barnett the runners up place.

Tuppen was the only absentee for heat two returning to the pits before the gate went together. Dunne Jnr led the away as Newman spun into the inner wall and actually smashed a way through. Peckham removed Oslar to go second and then repeated the move on Dunne Jnr to take control as 26 Tommy Barnes spun the fourth placed Powell. 126 Willie Barnes did the same to Santry and he continued by flicking 27 Roy Fuller out who recovered only to have the same thing happen, this time at the hands of Parrin. Murfin then brilliantly fired Burton into Tommy Barnes to grab third and he moved up again when the second placed Sampson retired. Peckham raced to the win while a last lap sort out saw Murfin spin Parrin for second but he was spun by Tommy Barnes who grabbed the runners up prize with Barnett inheriting third.

A full grid for the final with Tommy Barnes setting the ball rolling by removing Powell as Dunne Jnr again led them away. Peckham and Crowden joined the list of early casualties while Dunne Jnr was fenced by Burton and Sampson took the lead. A recovered Powell spun 6 Horry Barnes as on the back straight Peckham was stuffed into the inner wall full chat by Barnett. Newman removed Powell and Murfin suffered a similar fate at the hands of Gray with the UK champion going off the head and ramming 562 on the center. Barnett removed Parrin for one of the minor spots with the European championship bouncing back to spin Oslar as Sampson held his nerve and took the flag, Santry coming out on top in the fight for second from Tommy Barnes and Barnett.

Heat One: 311 Steve Newman, 511, 807, 27, 603, 26, 562, 126, 175, 150
Heat Two: 603 Wayne Peckham, 26, 511, 27, 807, 368, 150, 562, 175, 311
Grand Final: 428 Lee Sampson, 368, 26, 511, 175, 126, 27, 150, 417, 311

Once again the Ministox numbers remained high with 24 cars in the pits although sadly 327 Jamie Shaw failed to race. Once again the majority were RDC with 17 from the home promotion, visitors coming from Spedeworth and PRI.

315 Scott Aldridge hit the fence early on in the first heat as 317 Dwayne Powell led and a stricken 331 Tony Quaif was collected by 511 Liz Williams and 360 Carl Waterfield was a spinner. 504 Billy Standing was shown to the fence by 301 Mark Amoss while 149 Jamie Sampson beat 141 Willie Skoyles Jnr for second and then took over the lead before Skoyles overhauled him. 318 Steve Jode removed 391 Darren Story as Skoyles spun 317 Dwayne the Pain. Standing and 336 Steven Court both tasted the fence as did Waterfield thanks to Story with the former recovering to spin Quaif as Skoyles won from Sampson and 341 Daniel Marston.

All 23 runners returned for the second heat which was stopped after a couple of laps for a helpless Amoss who was stuck on the inside after being collected by Jode. Quaif led the restart as 319 Shaun Clarke fenced Waterfield while a spinning Story was T-boned by Skoyles. Marston removed Aldridge as 347 Sam Reynolds took up the running but it was Marston who burst through and proved unstoppable as he romped to his fourth win of the season, Reynolds hanging on for second and Sampson getting the better of Aldridge for third.

The field was reduced to 20 cars for the final with early spins from Clarke and Court as 542 Craig Oliver led from Quaif until Reynolds moved into second with Aldridge the lead blue in third. Reynolds then took the lead with Aldridge in chase as Marston began to move up as did Sampson, these two exchanging second place until the heat winner broke clear. Elsewhere Clarke removed Quaif and Waterfield did the same to Aldridge but there was no catching Reynolds who took the flag with Marston and Sampson next, Reynolds then getting spun by 549 Phillip Smith but fortunately it was on the run down lap.

Heat One: 141 Willie Skoyles Jnr, 149, 341, 319, 347, 549, 318, 391, 333, 360
Heat Two: 341 Daniel Marston, 347, 149, 315, 141, 318, 333, 360, 504, 549
Grand Final: 347 Sam Reynolds, 341, 149, 141, 318, 360, 333, 319, 549, 511

Another top night of entertainment with all three formulas in good form. The banger showed the best of both their sides, the Supreme Championship a great race while the first allcomers and Accumulator were great wreck ups, the former an early contender for race of the year with Mr T's hit on Troy Thiele certainly the biggest of the season so far. Despite being predictably a little light on cars the Saloon Stockcars were again superb with 511 Craig Barnett not getting it all his way this time and should see a bigger field on May 17 and again the Ministox provided some great racing and it is pleasing to see a number of lower graded drivers making big steps forward

The next meeting at Mildenhall Stadium is on Good Friday, April 18 with the under 1400cc Bangers Suffolk Open Team Championship plus Ministox at 2pm.
